Best Small Chamber Composition @ Ivors Classical Awards
I'm incredibly happy to have been awarded the Ivor Novello Award for Best Small Chamber Composition at the Ivors Classical Awards last night, for my piece Comme l'espoir/you might all disappear.
This short piece for voice and guitar was commissioned by Héloïse Werner with support from PRS Foundation back in 2021, and performed beautifully by Héloïse and Laura Snowden on Héloïse's first solo album 'Phrases'.
Ivors Composer Awards nomination
Delighted that my piece Comme l'espoir/you might all disappear for voice and guitar, written for Héloise Werner & Laura Snowden, is nominated for an Ivor Novello Award this year in the 'Small Chamber' category.
Nouveaux Rivages in Le Cargo Webzine
A lovely review of the Nouveaux Rivages concert (Evergreen + Laura Cahen with my arrangements), part of Musique(s) Rive Gauche festival, came out earlier this week on the French musical webzine Le Cargo!.
"Écrite d’un seul trait, dans un mouvement continu qui emporte l’auditeur et le tient en haleine une heure trente durant, cette pièce orchestrée avec finesse [...] apporte la preuve que la forme lyrique a toujours sa place dans la cité." Concert Classic
One week until the premiere of my first opera Three Lunar Seas.
